ROOM ATTENDANT

Description

Room attendants are responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms so that guests have a pleasant and comfortable stay. They make sure that all rooms are pleasant and clean, and they respond to any visitor inquiries politely and competently.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Dusting, cleaning, trash removal, mopping, and polishing are all required cleaning tasks.
  • Follow protocols and ensure that all rooms are inspected in accordance with department requirements.
  • When dealing with guests and their property, use delicacy and judgment. Report any damages, flaws, or problems to supervisors.
  • Stock levels should be checked and maintained.
  • Follow all guidelines pertaining to the health and safety of guests and staff.

HOUSEKEEPING SUPERVISORS

Description

A Housekeeping Supervisor is a professional who monitors cleaning personnel’s job activities to ensure that they are delivering a clean, organized, and appealing environment for guests. They delegate responsibilities while examining all aspects to ensure compliance with industry standards and client satisfaction.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all Housekeeping areas of responsibility are run successfully, in accordance with standards, and that the department is sufficiently resourced in accordance with hotel requirements.
  • Lead, train, and supervise room attendants on a floor or designated area to ensure all rooms meet established cleanliness and quality standards
  • Be aware of your targets and objectives, understand how these fit within the department targets, and ensure you achieve your targets and objectives
  • Assess inventory of, assign for cleaning and inspect rooms
  • Verify and report status and/or discrepancies of rooms
  • Maintaining consistently high standards of cleanliness and ensuring staff are all polite, courteous, and look after guest needs.
